Servosteel's community support continued
01-11-07
Last
month saw the County Air Ambulance land at Servosteel
site in Dudley on another mission to save lives.
Servosteel is committed to serving the community and
was pleased to be of assistance to the County Air Ambulance
by allowing them to land near our weighbridge which
is adjacent to the Russells Hall Hospital site (see
picture).
With this in mind the second of the Servosteel Charity
Quiz nights took place at Stourbridge F.C. raising £150
for the County Air Ambulance fund.
The night was a another great success with Servosteel's
customers, suppliers, friends and staff alike competiting
for the title of quiz kings. It was a fantastic evening
with a team (of eggheads) from Causeway United F.C.
just pipping the reigning champions John Taintons.
Once again Tim Jones of Servosteel would like to thank
everyone who attended this special evening, raising
money for a very worthwhile charity.

Ascot Facility to relocate to Dudley
06-09-07
With the lease on our Wolverhampton premises (Ascot
Processing) due to expire in the next few months we
have decided to move production from the Wolverhampton
site to the Servosteel facility at Pensnett Road, Dudley
by the end of September 2007. Not only will all the
key contacts remain the same, but our offering will
improve as we will be able to offer customers an improved
delivery, processing and collection service. This is
made possible because our Dudley facility is open 24
hours Monday to Friday and until 6.00am on Saturdays.
Giving Up Together
10-07-07
Sunday July 1st 2007 a date every smoker will remember.
Smoking in virtually all workplaces and substantially
enclosed public areas in England has become smokefree
by law.
Here at Servosteel in conjunction with the NHS and
The Black Country Tobacco Control Alliance (BCTCA) we
are trying to help our employees who have taken the
decision to give up smoking.
Servosteel have taken the initiative and have introduced
meetings with local NHS Smokefree team member Mr Neil
Tonks, who will co-ordinate along with Servosteel's
Wayne Kettley introducing the Together programme.
The Together programme is a new support programme
designed to help you stop smoking, compiled using medical
research as well as insights from ex smokers.
This is the first ever programme of its kind in the
UK and it's free.
We wish all employees the best of luck in kicking
the habit and going smokefree.

Servosteel Assists Action Heart
Dated 25-02-07
This year's Road Race run for Action Heart has been
another great success for the charity. Servosteel support
this event by providing parking for runners. Race Organiser
Paul Davies-Hale said, "... an event of this nature
and reputation would not be the success it has become
without the support of people like yourselves and I
would like to say how much your assistance is appreciated."
This year's race was another success story with entries
at the limit of 1000 a week before the race was to start.
All the runners and spectators appeared to enjoy the
day, and all competitors completed the course safely.
